Assessment and planning

Implementation and initial full backup

The SIRIS device is installed in your infrastructure or as a virtual appliance (vSIRIS) on your existing hypervisor. A full backup of all systems is created, and automatic replication to the Datto cloud begins.

Regular, frequent backups

Automatic backup points are created as often as your business needs. Each backup point is fully bootable.

In case of an incident

If a server is damaged – we launch a virtual machine from the local SIRIS device.
If the entire data center or location is affected – we launch systems in the Datto cloud, and users continue working remotely.

Main infrastructure can be restored without completely stopping business operations.

We already have a backup. Why do we need SIRIS?

A traditional backup usually means “the files exist somewhere.”
BCDR (SIRIS) means you have a platform and a process to restore your business systems within a defined time and with a known limit of data loss. It is a completely different level of security, transparency, and responsibility.

Won’t this be too expensive for a small/medium business?

The cost of downtime (unprocessed orders, penalties, reputation damage) is often much higher than the cost of a BCDR solution.
Also, SIRIS licensing and cloud capacity are scalable, and we help choose a configuration that is safe but not an “oversized, overpaid disaster scenario.”

How fast can we restore our systems?

In typical situations, critical servers can be launched as virtual machines on the SIRIS device or in the Datto cloud within minutes or hours.

The exact RTO depends on your systems and is defined and tested during the planning stage.

Are backup files safe from attacks?

SIRIS uses immutable cloud storage and multi-layered security (authentication, encryption, delete protection), as well as ransomware detection at the backup level.
Even if an attack affects your live infrastructure, you can restore systems from clean, untouched backups.
